Preparation for test

Life in the UK test is a multiple-choice questions based test. The time period to complete the test is 45 minutes. There are 24 questions and you need to provide correct answers to at least 18 questions to pass the exam.


The questions in the test will be asked from the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents. There are 5 chapters in the handbook,


The Values and principles of the UK",

"What is the UK?”

"A long and illustrious history",

"A modern, thriving society"

"The UK government, the law and your role".


Once the test has been booked, preparation material will be emailed to you. The material covers all the five chapters from the official handbook.


The official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents contains all the information in detail. At time it is difficult to understand the main points of the chapters. The official book is 172 pages.
